Assisted suicide proponents claimed that physician-assisted suicide is "already legal" in Hawaii.

On December 8, 2011, the Attorney General of Hawaii issued a formal opinion rejecting this claim.

Legislation to legalize assisted suicide has been repeatedly rejected by the legislature.

Legalization is a recipe for elder abuse.

In Oregon, legalization allows health care providers to legally steer patients to suicide.

Being abused and/or steered to suicide is not an enhancement of individual "choice."

In Oregon, other suicides have increased with the legalization of assisted suicide.

Legalization encourages people with years to live to throw away their lives.

Hawaii does not need the "Oregon Experience."
